Gina Torres (born April 25, 1969) is an American actress. Her starring roles include Zoë Washburne in the science fiction series Firefly (2002–2003) and its feature film sequel Serenity (2005), and as Jessica Pearson in the legal drama series Suits (2011–2018) and its spin-off series Pearson (2019). Most recently, she starred on the series 9-1-1: Lone Star (2021–2025).

She's a weird case... I mean, she's not unattractive, but I've noticed that every woman I've ever heard an opinion from on her looks is that she's "So beautiful!" I just don't see that. Like I said, she's an attractive lady, but IMO she's more like a 7 or 8 than the 10 so many women seem to see... well... "so many" isn't fair. I think I've gotten opinions from 5 or 6 women on the topic, but they all said she was "so beautiful!" even standing next to Jewel Staite, Summer Glau, or Amy Acker.
Must just be a gender thing... I mean, I suppose women tend to look for different traits than men do.
