Lauren Ambrose, born February 20, 1978, in New Haven, Connecticut, is an American actress and singer. She became well known for playing Claire Fisher in the acclaimed series Six Feet Under and later appeared in productions such as Torchwood: Miracle Day and Servant. On stage, she has also performed on Broadway, including a lead role in My Fair Lady.
