Joss Stone, born Joscelyn Eve Stoker on April 11, 1987, is a British singer, songwriter, and actress. She gained fame with her multi-platinum debut album, The Soul Sessions (2003), which earned a 2004 Mercury Prize nomination.

Her second album, Mind Body & Soul (2004), topped the UK Albums Chart, making her the youngest British female to do so, and included the top-10 hit “You Had Me,” her biggest UK single. It received Grammy nominations in 2005, with Stone also nominated for Best New Artist. Her third album, Introducing Joss Stone (2007), went gold in the US and marked her highest Billboard 200 debut for a British female solo artist. She was also ranked fifth in the BBC’s Sound of 2004 poll.
