Karissa Shannon, born on October 2, 1989 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is an American model and television personality. She first gained widespread recognition alongside her twin sister Kristina when they became featured companions of Hugh Hefner and moved into the Playboy Mansion in 2008. In July 2009 she appeared as a Playmate in Playboy magazine’s combined July/August issue. After her time with Playboy, she appeared in reality television and modeling work, later stepping back from the spotlight to focus on other interests.
