Bernadette Peters (born Bernadette Lazzara on February 28, 1948) is an American actress, singer, and children’s book author with a legendary five-decade career.
She’s a Broadway icon, snagging two Tony Awards (for Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun) out of seven noms, plus an honorary Tony, and three Drama Desk Awards from nine nods. Her work on cast albums like Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, and Gypsy has earned four Grammys. On screen she’s shone in films like The Jerk and Pennies from Heaven, and TV hits like Mozart in the Jungle.
She’s also penned kids’ books and remains a powerhouse in solo concerts with that unmistakable voice and fiery red hair.

Definitely a hot piece in her day. I'll bet she had a few rides on the casting couch early in her career.
I'm glad she's still with us.
I always thought she was pretty gross. Her look changed daily but those lips were never attractive no matter what wigs and hair colour she sported. And the redder the lipstick, the worse she looked. But success is always good and I'm glad she got her share.
I wanted to engulf & devour her back in the day.
