Connie Britton, born March 6, 1967, is an American actress, singer, and producer. She kicked off her film career with The Brothers McMullen (1995) and played Nikki Faber on Spin City the next year. She did short-lived sitcoms like The Fighting Fitzgeralds (2001) and Lost at Home (2003), plus movies such as Friday Night Lights (2004) and The Last Winter (2006).

She blew up as Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights (2006–2011), snagging two Emmy noms for Lead Actress. In 2011 she played Vivien Harmon in American Horror Story season one (another Emmy nom) and came back for Apocalypse. From 2012–2018 she was Rayna Jaymes on Nashville, earning an Emmy nom and a Golden Globe nod. Other big TV roles: Faye Resnick in American Crime Story (2016), Abby Clark on 9-1-1 season one (2018), and Debra Newell in Dirty John (Golden Globe nom).

On the movie side she’s done Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012), The To Do List (2013), This Is Where I Leave You (2014), Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015), American Ultra (2015), Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017), and The Land of Steady Habits (2018).
