      Google "Feejee Mermaid", notice anything?

That's right, the one time a real mermaid has been found and VERIFIED BY SCIENCE, the mermaid had dark skin and African facial features.

It makes perfect sense as mermaids would have to spend their whole time outside on rocks, combing their hair and suchlike, and they would be at least tanned else they would get skin cancer from the intense sun. Fair skinned mermaids were likely a fabrication invented by renaissance painters, Disney didn't know this at the time and in the original story by Hans Christian-Anderson he didn't mention her skin colour as it would have been obvious that she was black to anyone but a slack-jawed nincompoop, so Disney are correcting this error for the remake.

I will certainly be watching the film, not because of the mermaids, honestly I couldn't give two shits, but because Akwafina is voicing the seagull and even her voice alone is sex on a stick. (more Awkwafina pics please, Crapper)

Showing your prejudice by judging the movie before you see it. Also showing your racism and hateful thinking by telling me to eat a banana smh. Disney has never and will never force you to watch there if you don't want to see a movie with "diverse" in it. Don't see, other non-racist people will see it and the movies will make millions of dollars. Oh, and the last diverse movie they made, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, made 858 million dollars.

They also just fired their ultra-woke lesbian POC executive Victoria Alonso, who was "consistently outspoken champion of diversity." Alonso added then that members of the LGBTQ+ community “deserve the right to live, love, and have. More importantly, we deserve an origin story…As long as I am at Marvel Studios I will fight for representation for all of us.” She is no longer at Marvel Studios. Oh, and go eat a banana.
