Silke Matthias (born February 21, 1960, in Berlin) is a German actress and voice actress. She grew up in Berlin and, while still in school, started actin’ in 1974 at the Berliner Ensemble, playin’ Wendla in Frank Wedekind’s “Spring Awakening” under directors B. K. Tragelehn and Einar Schleef.
From 1978 to 1982, she studied at the “Hans Otto” Theater Academy in Leipzig. After that, she hit the stage at the Leipzig Schauspielhaus (1982–86) and Berlin’s Volksbühne (1986–94). Oh, and she’s a trained astrologer on the side.
Since 1994, she’s been poppin’ up on TV in movies and series. From March 2007 to May 2008, she played Helena Van Weyden in the ZDF series “Wege zum Glück”. She was also Silke Schwarz, a crime scene tech, in “SOKO Wismar” from 2006 to 2011, and since 2011, she’s been rockin’ the role of Roswitha Prinzler in the same show.
